ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Every October, the community of Abbeyfeale comes together for one of Limerick's most inspiring charity events.

The Dromtrasna Challenge is more than just a run - it's a celebration of community spirit, determination, and giving back. Since 2014, we've welcomed thousands of participants from across Ireland to our scenic routes through the beautiful West Limerick countryside.

Starting and finishing at Dromtrasna National School, participants of all ages and abilities can take part in our chip-timed competitive runs or enjoy a leisurely walk with family and friends.

Supporting Our Community

All proceeds go to two vital local healthcare services:

Milford Care Centre

Providing specialist palliative care and support to patients and families across the Mid-West region.

St. Ita's Community Hospital

Delivering essential healthcare services to the Newcastle West community and surrounding areas.
